A major campaign to tackle litter, dog mess and tidy up the area has been launched by Daventry District Council.
The council’s campaign follows the Gusher launching its own similar drive last month.
DDC will focus on litter, flytipping and dog mess after admitting the issues ‘amount to a significant blight on the environment within the district’.
Major aspects include litter wardens to fine offenders and CCTV.
The campaign is described by DDC as taking the approach of trying to educate people in the first instance, but if people don’t get the message to then fine them.
