The Hideout in Daventry’s Sheaf Street and Northampton College launched ‘Shake NC’ this week – a new milkshake in the corporate colours of the college.

The launch took place on Monday at the Sheaf Street cafe, with Daventry’s deputy mayor Ron Fox sampling the first one to be served.

The blue and yellow milkshake will be made with banana ice-cream, topped with mango bubbles and a blue-raspberry or bubble gum sauce.

As part of the college’s partnership, every milkshake in The Hideout’s selection will be served in bright jointly-branded cups.

Northampton College principal Pat Brennan-Barrett said: “We are very excited about this new partnership and see it as a fun way to remind people that we are committed to post-16 education in Daventry.

“The Hideout has a fantastic reputation and its selection of milkshakes are particularly popular with young people.

“We were delighted when owners, Claire and Darren, came on board to help develop this quirky idea and believe we are the first ever college to launch its very own milkshake!”
