A public exhibition of plans to bypass the A361 around Chipping Warden revealed a preference for where the road might go.
Northamptonshire County Council held the event to gauge people’s thoughts on the idea and gather more information.
The road plan has been sparked by the proposed High Speed Two rail line. Construction plans for the rail line have highlighted Chipping Warden airfield as a work site, with hundreds of HGVs and other vehicles travelling between the village and the M40 every day.
The exhibition showed a clear preference among people for a route passing to the west of the village between it and the airfield. Some people did express a preference for a road passing to the east of the village.
