Children take a step back in time
Bliss Charity School pupils enjoying a medieval banquet to mark end of school project The Knights Tale.
YOUNGSTERS from a village primary school had a day fit for a king to mark the end of a history project.
All of the pupils at Bliss Charity School in Nether Heyford enjoyed a medieval themed day on Monday prior to them going off on their Christmas holidays.
It was held to mark the completion of their project called The Knight’s Tale which has been running for the past two months.
The project has seen the children learning about the use of castles during the medieval period and included a trip to Kenilworth Castle.
The pupils also got the chance to make their own coat of arms.
A king turned up to mark their important day and knighted the children.
Children danced routines they had learnt in PE lessons, hosted a medieval banquet for the whole school and took part in jousting, all watched by their parents.
