PUPILS from the Abbey Junior School in Daventry got a tasty lesson when they went to Domino’s Pizza to discover more about food.
The school sent along 14 children from all year groups to the pizza restaurant to learn about ingredients and cooking.
Teaching assistant, Sharon Clarke, said: “It was part of their life skills work.
“I thought it would be good for them to see how food is prepared and cooked and got in touch with Domino’s in New Street who invited us along on Wednesday last week.
“It was really good – they got to find out about how the pizzas are made, about the different ingredients, plus about the history of Domino’s. They were in a working kitchen as well so they got to see what goes on behind the scenes as well.
“They had a great time and learnt a lot from it.
“Plus they all got to make their town pizza and take it home.”
