Childminders receive help

Childminders across the Daventry district are set to get a lot more help to look after littles ones.

The Northamptonshire Childminding Association (NCA) is introducing a new premium membership, enabling access to a wider range of resources on its website, discounts on events, public liability insurance and an annual home consultation.

NCA’s executive director, Elaine Pitteway, said: “We are delighted to have launched this new service as we know that mums and dads across the county want the best for their children and this membership will go far in providing even greater support to our registered childminders.”

It has been backed by a Daventry childminding couple, Steve and Josie Hale.

Mr Hale said: “Josie and I have always been keen supporters of NCA and when the premium membership was introduced, we signed up immediately.

“We feel it is important to keep up to date with training and procedures and the premium membership gives us an easily accessible way to do this online, together with support meetings and a home visit from our consultant.”
