Cheese and ale night at Daventry barbers

There was fine cheese and real ale at a town barbers for one evening.

Barber shop Jeeves at Fifty Four in Daventry’s High Street held a cheese and ale event on the evening on Monday May 16.

Owner Paul Fox said: “The evening was planned simply as a thank you to our customers for being so wonderful and supporting our terrific team of barbers. Not only was the evening completely free to our customers, but It was also open to anybody that was just interested in finest of cheese or the best of local real ales.

“The businesses that helped us hold this event were by far the best in their field which is why we chose them. Like our standards at Jeeves, only the best is acceptable when doing something for our customers.

“The evening was a great success and one of many that we have planned for the future. We love offering new and original ideas to our customers and this is an example of just that.”

The ale was provided by Early Doors in Daventry, and the cheese was provided by Cheese on the Green from Bilton near Rugby. Music came from The RetroBaits lead by singer David Yates from Daventry.

Mr Fox said: “We had a great night and were really pleased local businesses could support each other in such a terrific way.”
