A mother of an extremely disadvantaged young girl from Priors Marston has called for a rethink over controversial proposed changes to support for disabled children.

Rebecca Page’s daughter, Aleisha, aged ten, has severe non-verbal autism and requires full-time care.

Warwickshire County Council (WCC) plans to cut £1.7 million from its integrated disability service budget, which she says will reduce the vital short break services provided to her daughter.

The council says a decision on the plans will be made this month.
