Big charity snooker match for two causes

A TEAM of snooker players is getting ready for a 24-hour fundraising marathon.

On January 11 four men intend to begin playing snooker and pool, with both games being playing continuously for 24 hours in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) and the Paul Hunter Foundation (PHF).

Adrian Billingham, Dean Ainsworth, Chris Buckley and Stephen Mahony will take on the challenge at Slim Jim’s club on Sheaf Street where sponsor forms can be found behind the bar.

The PHF was set up in memory of professional snooker player Paul Hunter and helps disadvantaged children get involved in sport and socialise.
