MODEL students at the Danetre and Southbrook Learning Village were celebrated last week in an awards evening for students and families.
The ‘Celebration of Excellence and Achievement Evening’ was the first since the school became an E-ACT academy in April 2012 and celebrated students aged three to nine in recognition of their hard work, progress and achievements.
Sixth Form student Jess Ratchford who received the Chair of Governor’s Award said: “The evening was very special to me as it recognised all the hard work I had put into my studies.”
Principal of DSLV David Howell said: “The evening highlighted everything that is great about DSLV.
“Not only did we have a selection of the best students from across all years who have worked extremely hard, but we also had an audience full of proud families and supportive staff and governors.”
The evening was also attended by Director General of E-ACT Sir Bruce Liddington who helped to open the evening.
