OUR Win a Wedding couple celebrated the ‘best day of their lives’ as they tied the knot at Staverton Park Hotel last week.
Amanda Hoyle and Richard Jeffs spent the big day with all their family and friends after winning a £12,000 wedding package organised by De Vere Venues Staverton Park Hotel through the Daventry Express back in July.
The prize included outfits, a photographer, flowers, entertainment, cake and the reception at Staverton Park Hotel.
After the big day on December 29 Amanda, 24, said: “I don’t feel any different to before the wedding but I’ve got butterflies again every time I see Richard, just like when we first started dating.
“I feel all giggly around him like when we first met.
“It was a really good day. We had a few little hiccups but I think all weddings have them and everything was fine in the end.
“I know Richard was really nervous, he was shaking when I saw him but it was an absolutely fantastic day.
“There was a lovely backdrop in the hotel for pictures and all our family and friends were there.
“Richard was terrified during his speech and my dad had me in tears with his. The best man was really funny too.”
The couple live on Morning Star Road in Daventry and have a little daughter called Skye.
They are now planning on heading to either the Canary Islands or Egypt for their honeymoon.
Richard, 28, said: “I was an absolute nervous wreck but it was a brilliant day and once we had done the vows I was fine.
“It was by far the best day of my life. We want to thank everyone who helped organise it and everyone who was there.
“It feels weird being married, I keep calling her wife and she keeps calling me husband. It’s an amazing feeling.”
