200 homes for Woodford Halse given approval

CONTROVERSIAL plans for 200 homes in Woodford Halse were given planning permission last night (Wednesday).

It came down to a casting decision from Cllr Steve Osborne, the committee’s chairman.

The plans had been unpopular with residents who feared they would get increased traffic and exacerbate flooding problems in the area.

DDC also approved a proposal for a wind turbine on a farm in Norton despite objections from residents.

For more on both of these decisions, see next week’s Daventry Express.
