A woman from Daventry was left delighted and surprised when she was revealed as the winner of a competition run in the Daventry Express.
The Gusher teamed up with the town’s branch of Waitrose to give away the luxury Easter hamper.
Among the hundreds of entries received, the lucky winner of the competition was Linda Jolley.
The hamper is worth hundreds of pounds and includes a bottle of champagne, a bottle of red wine , an assortment of Easter eggs, chocolates as well as John Lewis vouchers worth £150.
Speaking about her win, Mrs Jolley said: “I was very surprised but obviously I was absolutely delighted. I enter a lot of competitions and you never really expect to win them.
“The only prizes I have ever won before was the things that had no monetary value. It is the first time I have ever won something significant.
“I shall be sharing some of the prizes with friends and family as there is no way I would be able to get through it all on my own.
“My husband will be particularly pleased because he really likes dark chocolate, so that will go down very well.”
