LADIES who work for a Daventry company have helped to raise thousands for charity.

The group of eight who work at Langley Waterproofing Systems at Bishop Crewe House in North Street, raised more than £1,250 when they did the Race for Life in Rugby last month in aid of Cancer Research UK.

The total has been boosted as the firm has also decided to match their contribution which brings the total to a minimum of £2,500.

The office’s manager Stuart Mundell said: “We were happy to support our employees in this event for what is an exceptional cause. We feel as a company we should help where we can when our employees take time and effort to help charities. I think between the employees and the company we have done well.”
