A GRANDMOTHER has seen her dream come true after her first ever book was published and put on sale.
Jackie Walsh, 52, put pen to paper earlier this year to complete her fictional thriller Revenge.
The novel is already available online on websites including Amazon and Play, and it can also be bought at book stores across the country.
Mrs Walsh, from The Witham on the Grange estate in Daventry, said: “It’s always been a dream of mine to write a book, so to get my first one published is brilliant.
“This has been a massive achievement for me. I started writing several years ago but this is the first full book I have completed.
“I thought I’d like to try and get it published so I just went online and found out how to go about it.
“It was just a dream come true and a massive shock really, I can’t believe it.”
The book focuses on a character who comes across paranomal activity at a manor house. The mum of three came up with the storyline after having her own experiences with ghosts.
Mrs Walsh added: “The book is basically a thriller about people being haunted. I’m interested in that sort of thing so I think it came more naturally to me when I was writing it.
Speaking about her writing career Mrs Walsh said: “I’ve got lots of little stories written down and always enjoyed writing.
“But I’ve never turned them into a full book until now.”
