A REPORT has said that business uptake at Daventry’s iCon building has ‘not been as high as anticipated’.
The findings were reported by the West Northamptonshire Development Corporation (WNDC) board members at a meeting on Tuesday.
The iCon opened in May last year and aims to promote green technology in the area.
So far only 17 tenants are working out of the building, leaving 37 units still empty.
The WNDC report said: “The first tenants moved into the building in May 2011, and after an encouraging start the level of uptake to date has not been as high as anticipated.” It added that there have been an ‘unacceptable level of repeat defects’ with the outside lighting.
