A HEADTEACHER has moved to calm fears following controversial claims by a national newspaper that his school is set to fail the next Ofsted inspection.
An article in The Times Educational Supplement (TES) published earlier this month stated that William Parker School in Ashby Road, Daventry, would fail the 2012 inspection due to a new set of guidelines.
The new guidelines have been drawn up by Ofsted to judge schools with more of an emphasis on exam results.
According to the report, William Parker needed to significantly improve its GCSE results to avoid getting a low grade from inspectors.
