A gargoyle has been stolen from outside a house in Daventry.

The stone sculpture was taken from outside a property in Ashby Mews, on the town’s Middlemore estate, sometime between 11pm on Wednesday, April 8, and 8am the following day. Northamptonshire Police have released the information only today.

The gargoyle is described as very heavy, about 2ft long, and 18 inches tall.
