A fundraising evening presented by Susie Pasley-Tyler of Coton Manor Garden has helped raise £3,085 towards the life saving work of St John Ambulance.

The evening with Susie - where she presented her talk on ‘A year in the life of Coton Manor Garden’ - was held at The Cottesbrooke Theatre, the University of Northampton on October 8.

Susie Pasley-Tyler has been managing the garden at Coton Manor for the past 23 years. She and Ian are the third generation of the family to live at Coton and the garden has evolved over the past 90 years with each generation making their own contribution. Ian and Susie have lived and worked at Coton since 1990.

Although Susie has no horticultural qualifications, she has learned from experience and hands-on work in the garden.

Money raised from the fundraising evening will go towards St John Ambulance’s work delivering first aid training to young people in schools and community training across Northamptonshire.
