A GARAGE has been left £4,000 out of pocket following an arson attack.
It happened at Barby Garage in Rugby Road, Barby at around 3am on Tuesday July 24 when an Audi S4 estate car was set alight and reduced to a shell.
The blaze, which damaged a Peugeot 30, alerted neighbours who called the fire brigade at around 4am.
Richard Lightfoot, garage owner, said “There was so much devastation that I couldn’t believe what I was seeing, I was just in complete shock. Although I’m insured the insurance excess means it would cost too much to claim.”
Witnesses to the incident can call police on 101.
