A bouncy castle was one of the attractions at a village fete held by Woodford United Football Club in aid of the Teenage Cancer Trust.
The organisers said they raised more than £700 for the charity, exceeding their target.
Saturday’s event, held on the all-weather courts next to the clubhouse, also featured live music, a barbecue, face painting, jumble sale and firework display.
A spokesperson said: “We made our target and a bit more, so a big well done to everybody involved. The fireworks were a great way to finish the event off. The first team also won their opening game of the season and things look positive for the rest of the year. All round it was a great day at the club.”
The fundraiser was supported by a number of local businesses.
