Talented young sports men and women in Daventry have a unique opportunity to gain sponsorship from Everyone Active as part of its Sporting Champions scheme.

Everyone Active operates Daventry Leisure Centre in partnership with Daventry District Council and is reaching out to potential sports stars in the run up to the Olympics.

The sports and leisure operator will be rewarding successful athletes based on their level of current success with either a bronze sponsorship (free access to Everyone Active centres and use of all facilities), silver sponsorship (free access plus £1,000 sponsorship fee) or gold sponsorship (free access plus £5,000 sponsorship fee).

David Bibby, managing director of sports and leisure management at Everyone Active, said: “As a leisure provider working in partnership with the council we feel it is important to cater for all sectors of the community, including emerging talent.

“Through our work with local authorities across the country, we have already supported more than 500 talented athletes with over £1 million worth of sponsorship.

“Our new Sporting Champions scheme will give even more support to aspiring Olympians by reducing their financial burden or training and competition costs, and will hopefully make a real difference to their success.”

Applications should live in a district or borough with an Everyone Active centre or who are already a member of an Everyone Active site. Email alexurmston@everyoneactive.com submitting a 150-word summary of sporting achievements as well as goals for the future, including potential upcoming tournaments and competitions. The deadline for entries is May 8.
