CHILDREN, parents and school staff put on a festive fair to help raise funds.
The event was held at Barby Primary School on Friday afternoon and was a joint event between the school and its parent teacher association.
Special guest was Santa who sat and spoke with many of the youngsters.
School bursar, Joanne Campbell, said: “The afternoon went really well with lots of parents and children coming along.
“It’s a good fundraising event for the school, and thanks must go to the PTA for their part in organising it.
“Lots of children managed to see Father Christmas while he was here, and I think people on the stalls had lots of fun, too, playing the games, buying raffle tickets, and other things.
“There were lots of games for people, including guess the weight of the cake, plus other activities like glitter tattoos, and more. It was a really good event for everyone involved.
“They were all put on by either members of the PTA, teaching staff, or the pupils themselves.
“In all the afternoon raised more than £500 which will go into the school’s funds and hopefully towards getting some new computing equipment for the pupils.”
