HUNDREDS of people turned out to enjoy a fun day at a town church.
The Vineyard Church based in Warwick Street hosted the event on Saturday August 11.
Senior pastor Rob Gee said: “We had a bouncy castle and ball pit outside along with a police car which the kids could have a look inside and play with.
“We also had representatives from Women’s Aid, Christians Against Poverty and the Street Pastors showing us the work they do.
“Inside the church there was face painting, arts and crafts and other games.
“The idea behind it all was for people to be able to come in and have a look at what we do.
“In particular we wanted to show people our food bank, from which we give out food to people in need and also send things toiletries out to troops in Afghanistan.
“We also have a computer training scheme and people are able to come in and use the PCs to apply for jobs and update their CVs.
“It was a fantastic day and great fun.”
