Visitors are invited to a free flower and vegetable show in Daventry.

Daventry Town Council will be working with Daventry Allotment and Gardening Association (DAGA) and Daventry Town Allotment Holders to showcase the fruits of their labour at the Daventry Flower and Vegetable Show on Sunday, September 4.

The show is being held at Daventry Community Centre from 1pm and admission is free.

Entries are open to all allotment holders in the Daventry and Norton area and to gardeners who are members of DAGA.

Organisers say there is something for everyone, with categories for fruit, vegetables, flowers, novelty/giggle and a separate category for children.

Alongside the show there is a Craft and Cruelty Free Market, refreshments with homemade cakes and a raffle, and a charity auction of the home grown produce.

A comprehensive show brochure with all the categories and entry forms can be downloaded at the Daventry Town Council website or picked up at The DAGA store located on the Welton Road allotment site which is open on Sundays from 10am until 11.30am. Call 01327 301246 for more details.
