‘Let It Go’ as Daventry’s Frozen-themed Mop Fair show returns later this month.
Characters from the hit film Frozen will make an appearance in Daventry this month as the popular annual Mop Fair returns to town.
The fair will run at The Hollows and the old gas works car park from Friday, September 18 to Sunday, September 20.
A new ride for this year, the Mega Spin, will be joined by old favourites including the Evolution, the Twist, City Limits, waltzers and dodgems.
On the Saturday there will be live entertainment on stage on The Hollows from 1pm, featuring singing, dancing and music with the characters from Frozen. Anna, Elsa, Olaf and other favourites from Disney’s hit-film will also be mingling with the crowds on the Saturday and Sunday.
Organised by Muggeridge and Sons Fair with support from Daventry District Council, the Mop Fair will run from 6pm to 10pm on Friday, 10am to 10pm on Saturday and from midday to 6pm on the Sunday.
To enable the fair to take place, the old gas works car park will be closed from 5.30pm on Thursday, September 17 and will reopen Monday morning, September 21.
Cllr Alan Hills, community, culture and leisure portfolio holder at DDC, said: “The addition of live entertainment on The Hollows proved a great success last year and I’m sure the addition of the characters from Frozen will prove a huge draw for families this year.
“There is always lots of entertainment on offer at the Mop Fair, so I hope lots of people go along and have a great time.”
