A free outdoor cinema event will be held at Daventry Country Park later this month.
Madagascar 3 will be shown on the large cinema screen at 1pm, followed by Brave at 3pm and then The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey at 5pm.
The event will take place on Saturday, July 27, from noon with face painting, a Punch and Judy show, balloon modelling and a bouncy castle also being laid on.
Organised by Daventry District Council (DDC) and Daventry Town Council, a free park and ride service runs from the Lodge Road to the country park.
DDCs portfolio holder for community, culture and leisure, Cllr Alan Hills, said: “This will be the third family cinema day that has been held at the country park and the previous events were extremely popular. We hope this one will be even better and I would encourage families across the district to bring their picnics and blankets for the day.”
The Mayor of Daventry, Cllr Mark Wesley, said: “The outdoor cinema is a great social event for Daventry. I hope as many people as possible come along and make a real day of it. It is good to see this event happen.”
