STAFF at a town opticians did their bit for charity during a fundraising day.
Specsavers in Bowen Square arranged the event last week to raise cash for Sightsavers, an international charity which aims to help people in the developing world.
Office worker Vivien Wardle said: “We gave around 200 balloons away to small children and had a good response from people.
“Those who donated were generous and in total I think we raised around £150.
“The staff also came to work in casual clothes and each donated £1, and it all raised awareness of the charity which was the main thing.”
