A DAVENTRY shopkeeper says she’s ‘disgusted’ after her store window was kicked in at the weekend.

Shortly after midnight on Saturday morning, a passerby called police saying someone had smashed the window of the Orange Blossom Florist in the High Street.

Owner Gemma Powell said: “It’s disgusting really that someone would just do that

“I really like doing window displays, but everything in that window had to be thrown out as it was covered in broken glass.

“The police came out and boarded it up, and I put up some bunting on it to try and make it look better, but it’s left me worried about doing window displays in future.

“I would like to thank the person who called the police, as my shop was completely unsecured, and Phil the market manager who called me on Saturday morning to tell me.

“Plus all the people that have come into the shop concerned about what’s happened and being supportive. The post lady even gave me a box of chocolates saying my window displays always cheer her up.”
