THE sister of a 19-year-old from Harpole who died in a car crash has raised more than £1,200 after abseiling down the National Lift Tower in Northampton.

Miss Cordingley chose to raise money for the charity Cruse Bereavement Care.

It helped support her family after her sister Thea died in a car crash in Welford Road in February 2009.

The abseil was also completed in memory of family friend Michelle Constantinedes, who died after she was involved in a collision with a lorry on the M1 in March this year.

Miss Cordingley said: “I know first hand the devastation caused by losing someone so unexpectedly and so I want to do something that will help support for the others who bravely carry on each day.”
