A DAVENTRY community is getting set for its big annual family event.
The Southbrook Fete on the Field takes place on Saturday, September 22 and this year marks the 40th anniversary of the estate’s community association.
People can go along to enjoy the community atmosphere, enjoy a picnic and the other activities.
There will be live bands, a puppet theatre, balloon modeller, pony rides, prize water fowl petting, and children’s entertainment.
More activities are being added to the programme.
There will be stall pitches at £10 each for other groups and traders.
The ruby anniversary of the Southbrook Community Association will be marked by re-living memories relating to the group with a display of photographs and memorabilia from the association’s history.
Anyone with any photos, information or other memories can call into the Southbrook Community Centre, in Hood Road, to add them to the exhibition.
The fete takes place on the Danetre School playing field on the estate on September 22 from 11am to 3pm.
