More than 100 people raised money for charity at the fifth Nether Heyford and Flore Santa Run on Sunday.

The runners, young and old, took part dressed as Father Christmas, or in other festive costumes.

There were half and one mile courses marked out on Nether Heyford village green, or there was a five mile course from the village to Flore and back.

The run was organised by On Your Marks Events, set up by Flore resident John Tanton and his wife Lesley in memory of their son Mark who died in 2010 at the age of 14 after contracting meningitis.

Sunday’s Santa Run was raising money for Meningitis Now with part of every entrance fee going to the organisation and runners encourage to raise money themselves for the charity.

121 runners completed the five mile course, with the top times being 26 minutes 45 for David Green, and 28 minutes 57 for Hayley Munn.
