Thousands of people turned out to see Daventry’s free annual firework display on Saturday night.
The event was held at the Stefen Hill Sports Grounds and organised by Daventry Town Council.
Town clerk Deborah Jewell said: “It was a fantastic display, and really well attended despite the wind.
“The display was set to music and was absolutely first class. It lit up the sky and the finale was just fantastic.
“We reckon about 8,000 to 10,000 people came along.
“To keep people entertained we had street performers, food and drink stalls, plus music.
“It was another great fireworks event and we will be looking at doing something next year and improving on this year’s event even further.”
The event had to be moved from last year’s location of Eastern Way due to the new college being built on the land where the spent fireworks fell.
This year Newnham Hill road was closed during the show for the spent fireworks to fall on, and the following morning volunteers went out to try and collect as many of them as possible.
