Student pick up A-level results across the Daventry district

STUDENTS from schools around the area have been nervously opening their exam results today (August 18).

In Daventry pupils from William Parker and Danetre School were at the Daventry campus of Northampton College to get their grades.

Nearly 100 pupils there took AS and A2 levels and students in 12 different subjects achieved 100 per cent.

Guilsborough School achieved a pass rate of 99.2 per cent, with 44 per cent of grades being B or higher.

Nine pupils there managed straight As, with three pupils being accepted to Cambridge University.

Campion School in Bugbrooke was again celebrating outstanding results.

More than 40 per cent of the grades achieved were either A/A* or B with 38 of the 140 students achieving three or more A/A* or B grades.

Just under 20 per cent of all grades achieved were A/A*. The overall pass rate was 98 per cent compared with 97 last year.
