Sex lessons worry parents

SOME parents in Northamptonshire are ‘horrified’ at what their young children are taught in sex education classes, a local MP has claimed.

The Conservative MP for South Northamptonshire, Andrea Leadsom, led a debate on sex and relationships education in Westminster on Tuesday saying she had been contacted by local parents concerned over some materials being used in the classroom to teach young children.

The MP argued the focus should be put on relationships rather than the “mechanics of sex”.

Her concerns were acknowledged by schools’ minister, Nick Gibbs.
