CHILDREN and their parents have joined forces to help spruce up a school garden.
The reception class at Long Buckby Infants School teamed up with mums and dads to weed, dig and clean the outdoor area at the school.
Teacher Charlotte Duncombe said: “We’ve got a big area here but over the summer it’s become overgrown. We need to do more outdoor learning so while the children were part-time we took the opportunity to clean it all up.
“We also planted vegetables earlier in the year including pumpkins, runner beans and tomatoes and we have now dug those up to make some soup.
“Parents and siblings all helped together and we had a great turn out. The children love the garden and it was great for them to be able to do this with parents and the school.”
