PEOPLE have until the end of tomorrow (Thursday, May 31) to write objecting to plans for new homes on a site in Daventry earmarked for a new primary school.
Daventry District Council is planning to build 45 homes on the Middlemore estate in the town and people wishing to comment on the plans can do so before the end of the day.
The land was originally set aside for a primary school, but in past years Northamptonshire County Council said there wasn’t the demand for school places.
Two weeks ago it revealed Daventry’s primary and infants school were ‘at or close to’ full.
Anyone wanting to do so can write to: Planning Officer, R. Lambert, planning department of Lodge Road, Daventry, NN11 4FP.
Residents want to keep the land reserved for a school or a community facility.
