IT WAS a morning of nerves, elation and relief as the district’s students opened their AS and A-level results

Northampton College in Daventry, Guilsborough School, and Campion School at Bugbrooke saw their students pick up their results as usual.

But for Danetre School, part of the Danetre and Southbrook Learning Village, and William Parker School it was the first exam results day since they opened their own sixth forms.

Because students at the two sixth forms have only completed their first year of two, the schools only had AS-level results this year.

AS exams are taken after one year with many students taking a selection of their subjects forward for a second year to get an A-level.

Overall Guilsborough and Campion had pass rates of 98 per cent in their A-levels.

Students got their results on Thursday August 16.
