A DAVENTRY junior school has been placed in special measures following the latest visit by Ofsted inspectors.
Abbey Junior School, on Vicar Lane, received the lowest possible ranking from officials in a report published this week.
But acting head Liza Davies, who only took on the job four-weeks prior to the inspection, has pledged to turn around the school’s problems over the coming year.
The school, which has 227 pupils, was found to be ‘inadequate’ in all departments which includes achievement of pupils, quality of teaching and behaviour and safety of pupils.
