Cummins Women in Business have started working with local primary schools to promote science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) subjects. They have visited several schools including Ashby Fields Primary School, Daventry, The Grange School, Daventry, and St Mary’s Catholic Primary School, Aston Le Walls (pictured above).

The pupils participated in activities such as building bridges and making paper aeroplanes and balloon rockets, all using STEM methods and working alongside male and female ambassadors from the Daventry-based engineering company. Winning teams received trophies and Cummins says it will roll out these activities to other primary schools in the area.
