DAVENTRY dogs had their day recently after winning the British Flyball Association’s annual Championships.

The town’s Midshires MudPack joined 270 teams from across the country to compete in the event, a relay race for teams of four to six dogs. They race over four evenly-spaced hurdles to collect a tennis ball and run back again.

The team’s dogs include collies, lurchers and cross breeds who travel around the country competing in flyball shows. They won division 43 on the day.
