Daventry district not funded fairly says campaign

A CAMPAIGN to try and get more money for Daventry district has been supported by councillors.

Daventry District Council voted to back the Sparse Rural campaign, which aims to get the government to review its funding of rural councils.

It says the district’s central Government grant works out to £309.93 per head, compared to the average rural rate of £324.41, and £486.96 for people living in urban areas.
