A big launch event for DaventryArts Festival attracted hundreds of visitors.
The festival, which runs for a fortnight, opened to the public at Daventry Leisure Centre on Saturday.
There were demonstrations of dance, theatre, bell ringing, toddler sessions, crafts and painting all on offer. There was also live music from several different performers.
Attractions were also held into the early evening with Strictly Daventry taking place in the leisure centre.
The event was organised by the Kate Fisher Dance Academy and matron of Danetre Hospital, Rita Reeves, partnered by Toby Young took home the glitterball trophy provided by Bishop’s Court Cobblers.
More than £4,000 has been raised with money continuing to come in. It will go to the Friends of Danetre Hospital and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance.
