A cheque has been handed over from a group of dancers to Daventry’s hospital to help pay for the extras not funded by the NHS.

Members of the Chinewrde Morris Dancers from Kenilworth were at Danetre Hospital in Daventry on Friday to hand over £525 raised by the group’s activities.

The side picked the Friends of Danetre Hospital as one of their charities to support in memory of one of their members Val Day who was treated at the hospital.

The morris group’s unusual name comes from the Old English spelling for Kenilworth
