Daventry Area Community Transport have received the donation of a brand new child’s wheelchair courtesy of Pete Spencer’s Helping Hands Memorial Fund.

Tina Walker, Shopmobility Co-ordinator said: “To be given this beautiful new chair is wonderful. In these tough economic times we are very thankful and it is very kind.”

Helping Hands previously donated the only other child’s wheelchair available to hire from DACT Shopmobility, New Street, and this new chair will give families more of a chance to hire a child’s wheelchair if needed.

Tina added: “To now have two chairs will be amazing. With children injuring themselves every day it is great for us at DACT to be able to offer them this choice.”
