Hair salon Manhaus, in Daventry’s Market Square held a 24hr charity cut-a-thon in aid of charity.

The team booked appointments every 45 minutes from 9am on Sunday October 4 right through to 9am the following morning.

Salon manager Jodie Bunting and stylist Lizzy Bateman were on hand to keep clients styles looking sharp and to help raise money for Cancer Research UK, a charity that is close to them both.

A spokesman said: “It was tough going in the early hours but keeping entertained with some classics on the salon playlists and chatting to the various people calling in to show their support they powered through and were able to keep going.

“Manhaus would like to thank everybody involved in the event and all of those that showed their support and donated over the 24 hours and since.”

The total raised to date is over £1,200 with more donations still coming in from people visiting the salon and via www.justgiving.com/manhaus24hrcutathon.
