Theft from Daventry town centre pub

A MAN was chased through Daventry town centre on Thursday evening (August 4) after a theft at a pub.

Between 8.30pm and 9pm a man, believed to be north African, walked into the Plume of Feathers pub, in Market Square, and tried to sell a paper to a man.

After spending a short time trying to sell the paper and being reject, he left. At this point the victim notices his mobile has been taken.

The victim followed the offender who ran off onto the High Street towards Wetherspoons, right past the Dunn Cow Public House and towards the Brook Street subway.

The thief is described as having short dark hair, about 5ft 6ins tall, of slim build, approximately 30 years old, wearing white trainers, light blue jeans, and a long sleeved t-shirt with a white front and blue sleeves.
