Mobile phone and cash stolen in town

A TEENAGER had a mobile phone and cash stolen following a robbery in Daventry.

The 14-year-old boy was walking through the tunnel on Swandale Way leading to the Southbrook estate at 10.15pm on Friday. He was approached by a man on a bike who threatened him and stole a Blackberry Curve and a bag containing the cash.

The man is described as being around 25, average height and broad build. He had a chin-strap beard, no moustache and was riding a dark mountain bike. He left on the bike accompanied by two friends who were on foot.
