Armed robbery in Daventry

A WOMAN had a knife held at a throat after two masked intruders burst into the bedroom.

It happened overnight on the Grange estate in Daventry overnight on Saturday and Sunday at around midnight.

The pair demanded cash and gold after holding the knife to her throat and the 61-year-old woman gave them three pieces of gold jewellery. A one-and-a-half inch tall crucifix with a swirl pattern, a half-inch diameter circular pendant mounted with diamond chips and an engraved oval locket which contained a photo of her late son.

The robbers also took an Xbox 360 and a Wii games console.

The men are described as both in their mid to late 20s with local accents. The man who held the knife to the ladies’ throat is 5ft 8ins tall with the other descrived as 6ft tall.
