THE DANGERS of the road were seen first hand during a special event at West Haddon Primary School.
A simulated crash scene between a lorry and a bike was depicted near to the school on Thursday last week. Police were on hand to investigate the crash with the help of the youngsetrs’ detective skills.
Pupils aged between seven and 11 learned about road safety in the event which was organised by Northamptonshire County Council in conjunction with the junior road safety officers at the school.
Office manager Nicola Elliott said: “I think it was quite interesting for the children because they were getting the chance to investigate the circumstances behind the crash.
“But it also made them think a little more about road safety. All of them really enjoyed themselves.”
